Bitcoin Center Korea
Bitcoin Center Korea was founded in the winter of 2015 by two long time bitcoin enthusiasts. They saw that bitcoin was still on the fringe of mainstream consciousness and even had strong negative associations attached to it. They felt they needed to make bitcoin more real and more tangible, as it were. Hence the idea of a bitcoin center was born.
The primary mission of the Center is to help bitcoin gain more traction in the general public with the ultimate goal being mass adoption. To that end the Center tries to educate visitors about why bitcoin is superior to traditional banking and offers free demonstrations showing the power of bitcoin and the blockchain.
By providing a physical space and a visible presence in the heart of Itaewon, Seoul’s renowned international neighborhood, we hope to attract tourists, globetrotters, and expats who can truly benefit from bitcoin’s transnational network.
For IT and finance professionals, we provide educational classes, collaborative workshops, networking and other events related to IT, Bitcoin, or FinTech. Entrepreneurs can take advantage of our central location by networking with other members of the Center.
